About

From Burnout to Balance and Why I Teach What I Do

Hi, I’m Maria.

Like many women, I didn’t start this journey because everything was fine.
I started because my body was breaking down… quietly at first, then loudly enough that I couldn’t ignore it.

Between autoimmune struggles, thyroid stress, hormone chaos, raising a big family, and trying to hold everything together, I did what I was taught to do:
I pushed harder.
I followed stricter plans.
I searched for the next thing that would fix me.

And professionally, I did the same. I learned the protocols. I chased solutions. I tried to outsmart biology.

Some things helped. Many didn’t.
What I gained most was exhaustion, and a growing sense that something was missing.

The Shift

What changed wasn’t one supplement or one program.
It was a perspective.

I began to see that bodies aren’t problems to solve
they’re systems to understand.

I stopped asking:
“What’s wrong with me?”
and started asking:
“What is my body trying to tell me?”

That’s when things began to make sense.

Patterns emerged.
Connections formed.
And instead of fighting my body, I learned how to work with it.

Rooted Resilience grew out of that shift.

What I Believe Now

Today, my work is grounded in a few simple truths:

  • Your body is intelligent.

  • Symptoms are signals, not failures.

  • Genetics are information, not destiny.

  • Healing requires safety, not force.

  • Sustainable health is built in real life, not perfect conditions.

I don’t believe in quick fixes.
I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.
And I don’t believe women should live in constant correction mode.

I believe in education.
In partnership.
In helping you understand how your body works.

What I Teach Instead

In my work, I don’t chase fixes.

I teach women how to:

  • understand their body’s patterns

  • explore genetics as information, not destiny

  • support hormones and immunity through nourishment and safety

  • build lifestyles that feel sustainable in real life

  • stop starting over and start building roots

Not to override biology.
But to work with it.

This is the heart of Rooted Resilience.

How I Work With Women

At Natural Approach Health & Fitness, I focus on whole-body wellness education that weaves together:

  • real food nourishment

  • herbal support

  • genetic education (like methylation and detox pathways)

  • restorative movement

  • nervous system and lymphatic support

  • rest, rhythm, and real-life sustainability

It’s education, guidance, and support so you can become your own best advocate and make informed choices with confidence.

Who This Is For

I work with women who are tired of:

  • being dismissed or unheard

  • living in cycles of burnout and “starting over”

  • trying to force their bodies into submission

  • carrying the weight of everyone else’s needs

And who are ready to:

  • learn how their body actually works

  • build resilience instead of chasing fixes

  • create a calmer, more grounded relationship with their health

  • grow a life rooted in nourishment, not punishment

Why I Do This

Because I’ve lived both sides.

I know what it feels like to do all the right things and still feel broken.
And I know what it feels like when your body finally starts to feel like an ally again.

My passion is helping women move from confusion to clarity,
from burnout to balance,
from fighting their bodies to trusting them.

Your story is unique.
And your path to wellness should be too.

If you’re ready to understand your body through genetics, nourishment, herbs, movement, and nervous system support, I’d be honored to walk that journey with you.

Let’s begin building your roots.
